Excerpt from Marie Claire

“My hair gets me down the most because it’s seriously underperforming. It’s so greasy I have to wash it every day, yet the ends look ragged and dry. I ask Ricardo Vila Nova, resident trichologist at Urban Retreat, Harrods, what I can do to lift my roots and my spirits.’Hair is the mirror of your hormones and can become unbalanced, resulting in greasy roots, dry ends and shedding,’ he says. Ricardo tells me to replenish the damage caused by the scalp imbalances with a hair mask containing lactic acid. After a bit of research, I treat myself to a tub of L’Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Cellular Repairing Masque, £14, which is rich in lactic acid, to repair damaged bonds (they make up the hair’s cuticle) and give my hair a monthly treat. I add this into my calendar reminder, too.”
